This video is a remake of a guest lecture given in a European University in 2019 as part of a business course. The author, a friend and "recovering" manager with 10+ years past career shares his reflections on the current ecological crisis and talks about his experience on how the "ecological question" is dealt with an industrial context. An escalation of strategies for emancipation is presented. https://video.eauchat.org/w/oNBhFPvNH5cQYV5bJXZb17

How is this linked to Extinction Rebellion Belgium?

(quote from the author): "I believe that our work is the biggest project of our lives - consisting of decades of focused prime-time and mental energy. Even if some of us have some freedom and creativity at the workplace it is always bounded within narrow ideological constraints. We don't own the "political" component of our jobs and day after day serve the interest of corporations with predatory business models. Most of the global destruction is elsewhere- in the global south- therefore invisible to our eyes, but it's time to wake up and see the hubris we are choosing to create day after day.

So quitting your job maybe is not the ultimate rebellion, but is in most cases a prerequisite for being able to rebel meaningfully".
