In the fortress of Le Bourget..

Dec 12. The world's bureaucrats were rushing to close a pompous-sounding climate deal and then celebrate their achievements in front of the press. The result was a contradictory text, which on the one hand advocates the need to limit temperature rise to 1.5-2C, but on the other does not mention even once fossil fuels, let alone impose measures to phase them out! Anyway, time for them to stuff their faces with caviar & champagne.

Meanwhile in the real world...

People are angry. People are taking to the streets with a stronger message. We need bold action. We need 100percent renewables now. We need to stop fossil fuels.We are not going to take it any more, will put our bodies on the line and disrupt the planet-wrecking projects of the most polluting corporations. Despite a heavy militarized state of emergency and the ban of political rallies, 20 thousands of us took the centre of Paris. In front of an unstoppable snowball, the police could do nothing but surrender. The voices were sounding loud.

There's a crack in the ivory tower. And it smells history. Expect resistance
